BY PLANE FROM AMERIGO VESPUCCI AIRPORT: About 8 km away from the Florence airport: you can take a taxi (travel time approx. of 15 minuts) or the shuttle service for S. Maria Novella (travel time approx. of 20 minutes).
FROM S.MARIA NOVELLA STATION: Just a few minutes' walk from the main station, which is 600 meters away. Go straight along the street facing the station, Via de' Panzani, and continue on to Via de' Cerretani, once reached Piazza Duomo turn right on to Via de' Pecori after turn left, now you stay in Via de' Brunelleschi we are number 4/black, the entrance is between Prenatal shop and Max Mara shop, you take the elevator/lift on 4th floor.
HOW TO REACH THE B&B BY CAR: First of all, driving with your own car in the centre of Florence is very complicated because the large ZTL zone( restricted area) so you have to follow directions very strictly to reach the B&B in the easiest way also because the GPS often doesn't work in downtown.
TO ENTER IN THE ZTL:
from the Avenues
two options to arrive: directly to the Garage or to the B&B.
1 Going to the "Garage il Giglio 1" in via Del Giglio 24/r that has an agreement with us that is 400mt (1312 feet) far;it takes 5 minutes on foot,this is the best option.
2 Arriving directly to the B&B with a very complicated route.
FROM THE AVENUES
Go trough Viale Spartaco Lavagnini toward Piazza della Libertà,at the first traffic light turn left in via Santa Caterina d'Alessandriathat will become via Nazionale and you will arrive in Piazza della Stazione,go across the traffic light and drive the whole roundabout and now you have two possibilities:
1 To go to the Garage drive the whole roundabout and enter at the access on the left,go across the traffic light of the ZTL zone even if it is red to enter in Piazza dell' Unità. where there is the Hotel Baglioni,take via del Melarancio in front of you and go ahead until you find via del Giglioon the right,where the garage is.
2 To go to the B&B drive the whole roundabout,take the central access via Panzani,go across the traffic light and then the first on the right via Rondinelli,turn the first on the left Largo degli Agli,turn the first on the right Via Pescioni,turn the second on the left via Strozzi; go ahead and you are in the pedestrian zone where you have to drive carefully and slowly,go across the huge arch turn left and you are in Via Brunelleschi,the entrance of the B&B is at the end of the street between the Max M. and the Prenatal shops at number 4 Black ( in Florence there are red and black numbers to the doors). The B&B is on the 4°floor.
